VELVET ALMOND FUDGE PIE

1 cup blanched slivered almonds
1 (4-serving) package Jello Fudge or Chocolate Flavor Pudding or Pie Filling
3/4 cup light corn syrup
3/4 cup evaporated milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup Nestle Chocolate Morsels, melted
1 unbaked 8 in. pie shell

Chop almonds and toast at 350 deg. for 4 min. Set assssssside. Blend thoroughlyuntil smooth, pie filling mix, corn syrup, milk, eggs, and morsels. Add almonds and pour into pie shell. Bake at 375 deg. for about 45 min. or until top is firm and begins to crack. Cool for 4 hours. Garnish with whipped topping and chocolate curls.
