WARM FRUIT COMPOTE
For a change of pace, you can substitute other dried fruits for the apricots and prunes.
12 dried apricot halves
1 cup pitted prunes
1 apple, chopped
1 cup halved seedless grapes
1 cup orange juice
1 inch cinnamon stick
1 Tbsp. chopped crystallized ginger
1 Tbsp. orange liqueur (optional)
In a medium saucepan combine apricots, prunes, apple, grapes, orange juice, cinnamon, and ginger. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 5 minutes. Stir in liqueur, if desired. Serve warm or chilled. Makes 6 servings.
