3/4 CUP DARK SEEDLESS RAISINS
1/4 CUP GOLDEN SEEDLESS RAISINS
1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
1 CUP BOILING WATER
1 CUP SUGAR
1 TEASPOON VANILLA
1 EGG
1-1/3 SIFTED FLOUR
3/4 CUP COARSELY CHOPPED WALNUTS
PREHEAT OVEN 350 DEG.BUTTER A 9 X5 LOAF PAN. PUT WAX PAPER ON BOTTOM & BUTTER IT. SPRINKLE WITH FLOUR. DISSOLVE SODA IN WATER. POUR OVER DATES & RAISINS. CREAM SUGAR & BUTTER. BEAT IN VANILLA & EGG. ADD FLOUR. ADD FRUITS WITH LIQUID. (BATTER WILL BE THIN.) POUR INTO PAN. BAKE 70-80 MIN. COOL 3-5 MIN. UNMOLD.
