Lagunna Beach, 2012 We stayed a few nights on the coast before heading to a photography convention near LA. We stayed at the Inn at Lagunna Beach, a very nice1950's hotel right on the ocean. We were a very short walk to the rocks where we experienced high and low tide, lots of birds, seaweed and people. Lagunna Beach is famous for their Pageant of the Masters art show. Actors recreate famous paintings. Lagunna Beach has lots of stores and restaurants and a free bus shuttle around the area. We went a little north and rented an electric boat a Newport Beach at Duffy's. This is an interesting but crowded area. We had doughnuts and gelato there. We also went whale watching at Dana's Point with Capt. Dave. We saw several whales.
