YR 2015 We stayed at the Loews Ventana Canyon resort with beautiful views of the city. We visited the Saguaro National Park, the Pima air museum and the Desert Museum and park. The parks are similar to near Phoenix and the west valley. We were at the Air museum only a short time and need more time for the tram and "bone yard" tours. The Sabino Canyon is a beautiful canyon with many ponds and views.
YR 2000 Tucson, AZ is a short trip south from Phoenix. Between these two cities are some very interesting stops to sightsee. Our first stop was the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument, an eleven-room, eleven-family, 600 apartment building built by ancient Hohokam and Pubelo Indian farmers. The four story structure was constructed of mub blocks 5 feet long, 2 feet high and 4 feet thick. There are many missions that have beautiful architecture. The Saguaro National Monument is a botonical park with many types of catus and other desert plants.
