Niagara On The Lake is Canada's most beautiful towns. There are several plosh small inns and a lot of bed and breakfast homes. The town has many interesting shops, flowers all over, hanging flower baskets as large as trees and a Shaw festival. There are 3 playhouses in town. The town is on the Niagara River where it meets Lake Ontario. Everything in the town is in walking distance of each other. We stayed at the 22 room Oban Inn. The Oban Inn (different link) was both restful and convenient. It was away from the main street, but within walking distance of the stores and restaurants. The area has many wine vineyards and is most famous for their Ice Wine. The wine is harvested in the middle of winter. It takes 10 times the amount of grapes to produce Ice Wine. The wine is extremely sweet and is a nice dessert.
