Ashville is in the beautiful smokey mountians just off the Blue Ridge Highway. The scenerly is beautiful. We flew into Charlotte, NC and drove about 120 miles to Asheville. On the way we visited Chimney Rock. In Ashville we stayed at the Inn on the Biltmore Estate. This beautiful Inn was built in 2001 and is on the estate. Also on the estate is a winery (where we did a few wine tastings), a stable (where we had a buggy ride) and a farm. We enjoyed gourmet dinners at the Inn. The Biltmore House is the largest private house in the USA. The tour of the house takes about 2 hours. There is also a beautiful garden next to the house.
